The Right Flock for the Good Shepherd

The Right Flock for the Good  Shepherd Blessed day to you family, I trust the Lord is keeping you all. Today, I am here to share a message that has been upon my heart for a long time and I have titled it: The Right Flock for the Good Shepherd. The main scripture for this message is a familiar one. In Mark 6:1-6, right from verse 1, we see Jesus entering his hometown (Nazareth) with His disciples. He was coming from a region where he performed so many miracles and healings like raising Jairus’ daughter from the dead, healing the woman with the issue of blood and healing the man with an unclean spirit, just to mention afew. All these miracles and His teachings marked Jesus’ authority and purpose as the son of God. Now if we read our main scripture, we see that when Jesus began to teach in Nazareth many were astonished and they began to wonder and question where Jesus got all the spiritual insight, power and knowledge from. In verse 3, they went as far as bringing up hi...

The Believer’s Authority

Image
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: This opening scripture happens to be one of my favorites. It’s a scripture that opens our eyes to see the authority we possess in Christ. Many are times as believers we fail to understand the kind of   authority we carry as Children of God and what it means to be a child of God. On several instances Jesus has referred to this kind of living as having little faith. The opening scripture has highlighted what it takes for us to be called children of God. I believe that when we understand authority, the operation of faith becomes easier. The greatest way to grow in faith therefore is to understand your authority and use it with the assigned responsibilities. Here is a time Jesus is sleeping soundly in a boat amidst a great tempest that arises on the sea and the boat that is covered with waves. His disciples are filled with fear and wake Him up ple...

As God Loves

John 13:34–35 “The Lord Jesus said, “ A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another ”  “ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God ” (Matthew 5:9).   It is required of us by the Lord Jesus that we live well with others and that we love one another. But because we are human and are different, it becomes inevitable that prejudices and misunderstandings will arise in our day today living with our family and friends, so much so that arguments and conflict can occur amongst us. It therefore becomes difficult to follow the Lord’s commandment that we get along well with others, and eventually end up harming and hurting one another. Worse, it becomes hard to forgive one another hence the wounded world. Not only does conflict lead to physical and mental health issues, it also weighs d...
